Yup, they sure do. They tell young girls how they are supposed to look, they tell young men what is "manly" and they affect how older people are perceived, too.

What drives me crazy is that there seems to be 2 reactions. Either she's invisible. Or she's still "hot" --like when young men would look at Jane Fonda and say they'd still do her. Makes me so mad.
