You’re absolutely right that a lot of people need help with their writing, Ayo. So, so many. Weak titles, weak openings, etc. And if they recognize that they need help, I know you are a strong choice to help them. Roz offers editing here for the same reason and she makes a difference.

I had a real nice phone visit with one of the top writers here a while back. He told me if I want to get paid what I’m worth, I should be writing about self help. I laughed, but recognize that my topic choice has probably hurt me.

And just so you know, I have no issue with anyone selling stuff here. It’s probably what I should have done. It’s what Tony says we should all be doing. Today I am paying for that choice. I don’t regret it, because I wrote what I wanted to and I’d probably do that again given the option.

But hot damn — $300K? I had no idea that kind of money was possible here. If I’d known that, I’d probably have thrown in the towel long ago and realized this place doesn’t favor the topic matter I’m writing. lol
