You need to tip that number upside down. It’s not 99%, it’s 66%. According to a study of college aged men, a full 1/3 of male participants would rape a women if they knew 100% that they would not be caught.
The researchers conclude that men who say they would force sexual intercourse may “not perceive his actions as rape and may even view the forced intercourse as an achievement.”
Maybe we need a #TooManyMen hashtag. Shit needs to change. It’s 2018, not 1918.
