A few years ago, a young woman in New York made all the news channels because she died in her car having a nap between shifts at the 2 jobs she worked to make ends meet.
After her death, the state employment board recommended a $15 min. wage. The CEO called it “outrageous” — never mind that he makes 15K/hour.
How ironic that a man making $15K/hour doesn’t think his staff deserve $15/hour.
There is too much of this. Not just that the 1% don’t donate to charity, they don’t pay their staff a living wage, either. Unfettered greed is why so many people struggle. And it needs to stop.
