Yes, absolutely. That’s another layer on top. There could very well be people who had asymptomatic Covid, so they never knew and end up with long haul Covid. Doctors could diagnose them incorrectly because they don’t know that’s what they’re looking at.
The questions you ask — how would they know, and would the treatment be different? They don’t know. That’s the truly horrifying part. They don’t know yet. It’s too new.
The best hope we have is that they find a way to easily test to see if people *had* Covid. I don’t know how accurate an antibody test is, but I hope they find a way to identify those who had covid.
So many people are afraid of the vaccine. Me — I’m more terrified of getting that virus in my body. The vaccine hit me like a truck, but I’d take it 10 times if it meant never getting that virus inside me.
