Years ago, I had a friend who had a sick little girl. The illness she had was rare. One of those conditions that only a few thousand people in the world have. (I forget the name of it.) The pharmaceutical industry had created medication that successfully treated it. But he couldn’t get it in his country because there wasn’t enough need for it to produce it. ie; it wasn’t profitable. The doctor told him that when he said sorry, there’s nothing I can do. The little girl died in her daddy’s arms. She only made it to 6, if I recall right. Because the medication wasn’t profitable enough. Stuff like that makes me so angry. Might need to look up that piece on hospital beds. Thanks for the idea. :)
