Wow, you put a lot of thoughts in here — I really do appreciate when I write something that results in a real conversation.

You know, my personal feeling is that human corruption is what spoils any system. I don’t think it’s ever so much the “system” as it is the people who can and will find a way to corrupt any system. Have you ever read Viktor Frankl’s book “Man’s search for meaning” — it’s an excellent read that dives into the concepts around corruption.

I’m real torn on the issue because I would not want to live in a country where its citizens aren’t free to start a business — but at the same time, when I see people working 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet while the CEO earns 369x the average workers salary — that’s messed up. You know?
