Women struggle to have a place in power at all. I read an interesting tidbit on the Cornell University blog.

Women comprise just over half the population and just under half the workforce — but only 20% of the Senate and 19% of the House.

On a global stage, it's almost embarrassing.

There are 190 direct-election countries in the world and the USA is 72nd for equality in representation. Below Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Greece, and Kenya. Just above Kyrgyzstan.
