Wish I had multiple profiles to give this more claps.

This entire piece makes me profoundly sad. It reminds me of what Dr. Pete Walker says in his book about complex PTSD. If you took the DSM5 and removed everything related to childhood emotional neglect and abuse, all that would be left is a pamphlet.

Can we and will we are different. Can we? Yes. But it means accessible mental health care. It means professionals who can spot the symptoms real early. Teachers or doctors most likely. Will we? Probably not. Not profitable.

Not sure who I feel saddest for. These people, or the ones they inevitably hurt. Because they always do. Sorry this was so damn long. You hit a nerve.
