It seems entirely lost on them that women becomes feminists in response to a lifetime of bias, fear, and disenfranchisement. They seem to think that it’s like a cult, where otherwise reasonable women are indoctrinated into believing horrible things about society instead of it being a response to the lived experience of growing up in a society that subtly and overtly discriminates against and abuses women in large numbers. It would be a fascinating sociological cognitive dissonance if it weren’t so damn irritating!
