Well, that tells me to stay away from Scribophile. Hah. IMHO, writing is highly subjective and most people “critique” from a place of opinion more than anything else. And of course we do, we’re human.

I, too, would love to know some of the places good for audience building — simply finding readers. Here used to be a good place for that.

A coup wouldn’t work. The more we bitch, the less feeds we appear in until we’re talking to a wall of silence. Appears to me they think “how to” articles is the way to go. Maybe here it is, I don’t know.

What I do know is that I don’t want advice from someone who hasn’t accomplished what I’m trying to accomplish. And even then, it’s dicey because no two people succeed in quite the same way at any endeavor. Darn shame we can’t block entire publications.
