We look at photos like this and are grateful that this isn’t the life of our children anymore. But it’s still the life of too many children — an estimated 5.5 million children still today. In factories, farms, mines and coffee plantations.

Have you seen photos of the coffee kids? Their little faces aren’t covered in coal or dust, but are white with toxic pesticides.

Kids still live that way today because we in westernized countries vote with our wallets, and that’s what we vote for.

Thanks for sharing this. It’s a good reminder of what Labor Day is about besides friends and BBQ.
