To me, it makes perfect sense. It's true that our bodily integrity are ours and we don't have to "pay" for them.
But freedom? Freedom to move through the world safely? That is not ours. In America, a woman is raped every 2 minutes.
It's what parents tell their young girls, right? Don't go alone. Go with a friend. Go together and leave together. Alone isn't safe.
So I agree with her. Rape is the price many women pay for daring to navigate the world alone and unescorted.
