All of the ladies that were on the patio nodded in agreement or offered affirmation to what the men were saying. When the man came back out to the patio, he tried to strike up a conversation with me several times and I ignored him or pretended to be on my phone. Anything to avoid actually having to acknowledge him.
This should not have had to happen “several” times. Once should have been enough for him to get the message. Men like him need to learn that they are not owed attention or response from a women just because he likes how she looks.
If anything at all contributed to his death, it was his own anger. Was he so angry he wasn’t looking where he was going? I don’t know. No one does unless they were a witness. All I do know is that you didn’t owe him, or anyone, a response because “they” are interested.
