This is part of the problem, because no matter how much I might agree, facts tell us we don't sway opinion by criticizing or denigrating the people who believe differently than we do.

And sway opinion is exactly what must be done for change to occur if America is not to become a dictatorship.

Sadly, there is a culture of self-interest in America. Prime example is people thinking their fellow citizens don't "deserve" health care if they can't pay for it. This opinion is ripe for change as more people lose their ability to pay due to Covid.

Criticism has it's place, but education does, too and the latter fuels change more than the former does. Shock and outrage gets clicks, but I'm not sure it affects the vote. I suspect it makes his followers that much more determined.
