There’s a lot of ugly stuff for kids to digest in some of those. Women are either young and in need of rescue by the man who will make them happily ever after, or old crones/witches that are horrifying.
Easy to say it’s a movie not reality… but most of those stories date back to the 1800s and many came from the collected stories of the Brothers Grimm. Back in that era, those opinions of women were not so far from reality.
When my daughter was younger, we opted for the animal ones. Lion King. Bambi, etc.
