There are a lot of people in the world who cannot stand in line to buy whatever they want, whenever they want.

My Dad used to tell me about food rationing during WWII. Grandpa used to tell me about food rationing during WWI and long lines of people hoping they’d get to the front before the bread ran out. Many people still live that way today.

It’s not just patience we humans need more of. Gratitude, too. We won the birth lottery, but too many of us act like it’s some kind of personal insult if we don’t get “served” fast enough.
