The heteronormative codes of twentieth-century mainstream Western cinema. Drives me nuts. There are too many tropes in movies. You have to love the right person, of the right gender and the right station and the right color.

Honestly. Who cares. Love itself is a damn miracle. Finding it is like a needle in a haystack. And if we look at the numbers, men and women pairing off doesn't fare so well for most women in the long run.

You know what really bugs me, Jim? Why are people so damn concerned with what's happening in someone else's pants and someone else's bed. The animal world is not heterosexual. Why should humans be any different, when we are animals, too?

da Vinci was brilliant. And he was gay. And those can absolutely co-exist and they do (every day) anyone who rewrites history to fit their own preferred world view needs their head smacked.

Sorry this was so darn long.
