The first paragraph -- that's a good point. I tend to give my pieces two shots. First when I post them. Second when I send them to my list. If they flop both, I know a third chance won't change much.

I'm not sure it's a case of anyone knowing what's best, though. I think we humans just take our best shot and see what happens. Time will tell on this one. If I'm wrong, I'll happily eat my words.
