That’s very true Regina. There will always be people who use every new tool to try to cheat the system. Around a decade ago, a man named Philip M Parker invented an algorithm that could write nonfiction books in 20 minutes. He patented it. He has over 100,000 books on Amazon. Will the same thing happen in fiction? I don’t know. I hope not. But I can see magazines getting harder to submit to. Definitely they will have to change submission guides to prohibit the use of AI and definitely some people will ignore it. But the technology is not going away. We don’t have to use it to write for us. But I think there’s some merit to “real” writers learning to use it not to write for us, but to help pull ideas from our heads.
