That’s the bigger problem in a nutshell. Trump didn’t get into office by himself. There are still far too many people who believe “men rule, and women need to learn their place.”

And they’re not just men. Old rich white women are right up there with them, voting in the patriarchy. Because as long as “he” pays the bills, most of them will overlook an awful lot. Case in point, Mrs. Kava-nope. Melania, even.

Young people give me hope. Because it’s young people — primarily young women — standing at the forefront of almost every issue from feminism to climate change. All the young women who follow Greta and feminist writers and digested what #metoo showed the world — they’ll be voting soon.
