That last paragraph earned all the claps. I saw one blogger who spent hundreds of words suggesting different ways to “make yourself” write daily. It was trite nonsense and so condescending it blew my mind.

But you know what happens, right? Social proof kicks in — people see that the guy as 30K or 50K readers, so he must “know” what he’s talking about, right? So they clap that crap and it continues.

Someone who really wants to help doesn’t talk down to their readers, and doesn’t talk above their head.
