That applies to both parties. They say what they need to say to get elected. Then they throw their weight behind the people who fund their political campaigns with big donations. Poor people don't have the money to do that. So both parties end up working to serve the rich. America had a shot with Bernie. Maybe even with Liz. Caring about each other was too repulsive. Better to care about the wealthy. After all, they sign the paychecks. *sigh*
