Thanks, Kim. You’re right — there is a lot of that magical thinking. So many people have this “dream” that their book will just rise to the top all by itself. “from behind all odds” as you put it. And I suppose it can happen that way. But it’s more likely to get hit by lightening, and even those odds aren’t good. Funny how often good luck shows up in overalls.
