Thanks for the deeply thought response. I agree that services to members is a valid avenue. Even if I wasn’t making money here, I’d happily pay to be able to have extra features, like the ones I listed. As a business person, I’d much rather link to my Medium content (on my site) if I had some control over how it looks. I could do that by creating a pub, but I like participating in the different communities. If all I wanted to do was stand on a podium of my own building and have to work to build my following from scratch, why wouldn’t I just do that at my own site?
