Stop Talking About What Rich People Do “Different.” You’re Wrong.

The other day, I ran across a title that fooled me for a minute.

I clicked. But I didn’t finish.

It was another one of those “what rich people do that poor people don’t”
pieces. You know the drill.

— Poor people ask $5 questions instead of $5K questions.

— Poor people make bad financial choices.

— Poor people invest in liabilities instead of assets.

If I was a swearing person, I’d have told the writer to f — right off.

I’m not a swearing person.

I don’t know why people write that crap. I hope they mean well. I hope they see the state of the world and want to help. I hope they’re not just grifting, but I’m not holding my breath.

Regardless why they write it — they’re wrong.

Uneducated.

And it’s fine to be uneducated. No one is born knowing everything. But uneducated people shouldn’t teach what they do not understand.
