Stats have already been updated. They don’t show “claps” they show “fans” which is the number of people who clapped. How much they clapped doesn’t matter.

On FB, if you have 5 “likes” that means 5 people liked it.
On Medium, you can have 100 claps from 5 people.

In essence, multiple claps just makes stories “look” more popular than they really are. In your stats, you see the real truth, which is the # of people.
