Spot on, Damian. AI itself can’t inject emotion because it doesn’t have any. But that said, it’s spitting out words gathered from reams of other people’s writing so it will get better at faking emotion as they increase the materials they feed it. I do think it’s helpful for digging ideas out of my own head. Used verbatim, it lacks my voice. But as an idea generator, it helps me pick words or phrases that suit me and I didn’t think of.
