Sorry I colored your whole article with marker. This! This concept that the rich have a “secret” and the rest of the unwashed masses can buy it is one of my biggest pet peeves. And of course it is, I’ve worked in digital marketing for 23 years. Not fake “how to make money” crap, but helping real businesses sell real goods and I don’t care if they’re tangible or downloadable.

In the early days, I used to buy some of those. The ones that didn’t sound over the top smarmy. You know why? I was looking for something — anything — to recommend to the people who can’t afford me. Because I’m damn good at what I do and I don’t work cheap. They’re all crap.

Regurgitated garbage that didn’t work when the first person said it and still doesn’t work when people package it up under a new name, new design and keep selling the same old tripe.

Here’s the thing. When you’re dying of some disease, you’ll spend every last penny you have on every solution out there. Because so what if it’s a long shot, what if it works. You know? What if. And hucksters count on that. We live in a world where half the population is one emergency away from being broke. Two paychecks away from homeless.

So they sell hope and hot air, and hold the rich up as the light at the end of the tunnel. It makes me angry. Thank you for writing this. I will share it everywhere. Hope you get a ton of views. The world need to read this. ❤
