Second paragraph made me laugh. I am there SO often. For me, I try to do a first draft and then not look at it for several days, sometimes a week. But my drafts are just — wow. So many drafts. I throw ideas in there and then walk away to get some distance. Sometimes I get back to them weeks later, or even a month later. If I still like the idea, then I finish it. Honestly, for me I know I’m done if I don’t hate it. lol.
