Question? Whose job do you think that is? Is it the designer’s job to know the brand values of each company they work with and make sure the site embodies those brand values? Or should the corporation be making suggestions to the designer regarding incorporating brand values?
I ask because I’d really like to hear what you think. I’ve been in the game for 21 years and I’ve found it really hard to get whomever is the corporate contact to think that way.
Trying several shades of that background color? Check.
Trying the logo in several different sizes? Check.
Fly out menus vs traditional menus? Check.
Split testing elements of design? Maybe, if I’m lucky.
But incorporating brand values? Seldom even on the table, and often pushed off the table when I put it there.
