Publications are supposed to be for the reader. I mean, despite that newspapers are dying, magazines are not. Why do some people prefer Horticulture Magazine over Garden & Greenhouse? Why do some prefer Smithsonian over National Geographic? Or vice verse. Because of the flavor, the content, the soul of the publication. That was the intent, anyway.

Totally agree on notifications when people add stuff to their lists. Some are abusing it like they abuse everything else. One guy added 3 of my articles to 3 lists each. I got whacked with 9 notifications in a row. Did it make me go look him up or follow him? No. Sigh.
