Pretty sure if I combed through the constitution there would not be any mention of appendectomy, hernia surgery or coronary artery bypass but people have those all the time.

At the time the constitution was signed, abortion was common practice. They didn't need to put it in the constitution any more than they needed to put appendectomies in it.
