Personally, I would like to gut that phrase. Anything that's toxic isn't positive. Positivity lifts people up. If it's not lifting people up, it's just plain old toxic.

Great piece. There is far too much invalidation and it's largely used against people who discuss what's wrong with the culture we live in. Just another way abusers silence everyone.
