Personally, I think the problem is that people keep stapling shit onto the word “feminism” that doesn’t belong there. The concept is really simple… feminism is the belief that women and men should have parity.

Here’s what it’s not about…

— what sexual organs we have or who we use them with…
— having children or staying home with said children…
— working or not working, career or job or hobby…
— What we wear or don’t wear…
— Who we vote for…

Parity is a real simple concept. It means men and women have equal value. If you believe that, you’re a feminist. If you aren’t a feminist, you don’t believe women and men should have parity. Real simple.

And yes, you can say you don’t think men and women should have parity. That’s your human right. But human rights and women’s rights are not the same thing. Not even close.
