People don't like widespread well being because they need to feel superior. They think homeless people somehow "deserve" being homeless and poor people should have gone gotten a better job. People like pecking order. If they could at least agree that the bottom of the pecking order should be able to survive, we might be getting somewhere. Good post. Christ, the world is ugly.
