A while ago, I was doing ancestry research and asked if someone miles away could look up a document for me. An elderly lady welcomed me and said she volunteers to help those searching for family because she believes we have not really died as long as someone still breathes our name. It gave me some small amount of comfort then, and it does again now. That and re-reading her books.
