Oh Katie, this reminded me of the most charming story I ran across a while ago. A woman and her elderly mother in Eastern Canada (Ontario, I think) set up a little website where they offered to send some tea and little handmade gifts and cards.

They just loved making things together, but all the things they made were piling up, so they came up with the idea of selling little surprise bags. It did so well they offered it as a monthly subscription, and then it turned into a business and the daughter was able to quit her day job.

When I read about it, I walked around warm and happy inside for days.
