Oh gosh, no I didn’t take it as criticism at all. I just tend to be long winded and was trying not to be because sometimes I scare people off that way. lol.

I’m not sure if you’re a statistical outlier, but if you are I suspect I am, too. I’ve slogged through entire paragraphs because the writer is credible if not fluent to read, but the information is sound.

But here on Medium, and much of the internet, with the glut of self help and life essays, it’s crucial to engage the reader quickly and I find the tendency to click away bleeds into content that’s not of that sort, too.

I had a good laugh at the last paragraph, and I’ll tell you why. In my drafts (which there is entirely too many of) I have an article called “Young people like to give advice, old people laugh at this”

That’s a great topic, incidentally. Really bad books that started strong. Let me know if you’re interested in writing it. I’d love to read it. If you’re not interested in writing that, I’d be game to give it a shot. Let me know!

P.S. You weren’t rambling, and I enjoyed it.
