Oh God — you started with my pet peeve. Add to it, people who’ve never sold anything but how to make money programs teaching people how to make money. It’s everywhere. The IMDB has a page telling new actors not to buy “how to break into acting” programs.

No matter the industry, Steven Pressfield has the must succinct advice. DO. THE. WORK.
