Of course not. They were not protesting the death of a black man at the hands of a white cop. There is a pecking order in society. White people at the top. Black people at the bottom. Men dominate, women are supposed to know their place. Preferably, in the kitchen. Making a sandwich.
That is why 155 years after slavery was abolished, black people are still not treated equal and 100 years after getting the vote, women are still not equal under the law. White men like the status quo, for the most part. Yes, there are those who do not follow those outdated models. For the most part, they are not the people in power. That needs to change before anything else will.
