Not to mention that men have traditionally cherry picked which jobs are for men vs. women. For example, most of the early computer programmers were women. On the moon project — women did the programming. On Univac — women. It was seen as “similar” to secretarial work and paid crap. Then men got into the field, women were shoved out, and pay went up. Because now “tech” is a male field. Frustrating to watch. Thanks for the book recommendation — I’ll go look it up. :)
