No laughing. Just sorrow. Yes, we should be realizing that every sentient being has feelings like we do. Dogs do, cats do, all the animals we are driving extinct do.

What if I told you trees do, too? Have you read The Hidden Life of Trees? Did you know when trees are being infested, they scream for help. Did you know those trees planted in the concrete live shorter lives and die of loneliness?

But you see, many people do not even care about other humans, much less animals and trees. Except the dog, maybe. Man's best friend. But they don't even care that the guy who lost his job can't afford healthcare.

They think if he can't pay, he doesn't deserve it. A lot of people are going to have a hard reckoning as Covid continues and job losses increase.

The "me first" attitude has to stop. If we do not take care of each other, vote for each other's best interests, the billionaires will be the only ones left with money, food and health.
