No, I don't believe we can. I believe the challenge is to save humanity from these people.

I have a dog-eared old copy of Viktor Frankl's book, Man's Search for Meaning. I re-read it every couple of years.

After surviving Auschwitz, he observes that we humans judge each other so wrongly. We judge by things like race, color, creed, religion, gender, etc.

There are exactly 2 kinds of people, he believes. Those that have the capacity for great evil, and those that do not.

I believe what he says. And I think those of us who do not have the capacity for evil at our core have a responsibility to keep power out of the hands of those that do. We are failing at it, thus far.
