Nah, this isn't a current thing. We've always been in an "age" where stupid wins. Read about the 1918 pandemic. They were just as dumb. Read about the smallpox pandemic of 1775. It lasted almost 8 years because people were dumb.

People would buy expensive cigars and blow smoke up their butts rather than get a vaccine. Health service officials had to roam the street forcing people into quarantine because they were going out covered in pox.

Stupid isn't an age or era. It's just lack of common sense and you know what they say about common sense, right? It's not that common. lol
