Most people don't know that book paper ignites at 451* F. Ray Bradbury turned that into a bestselling title. Some of the best writers in the world are the ones whose heads are filled with seemingly "pointless" knowledge.
Perhaps the real issue is the number of people who have little interest in anything that's not immediately profitable and mock those who do. Not so different than the F students making fun of the A students, I suppose. Nice piece, Jessica!
