Maybe we seem like a nation of idiots because we mostly are? Only an idiot would think that an uneducated opinion has the same merit as an educated one, yet the world is full of it.

There’s far more opinion than fact in this world. ie; Once upon a time, it was “fact” that Pluto was a planet. Now it’s no longer a planet.

I was raised to understand that it’s okay to say I don’t know enough about a given topic to have an opinion worth stating. Seems that’s not in vogue anymore. People pull opinions out of their back-end and then argue that free speech gives them the RIGHT to that opinion.

“Truth” takes a backseat to almighty ego.
