Maybe. Or maybe the wishful thinking was that America could ever be different. I mean, Hitler learned eugenics from America. Women were never equal to men. Like, ever. They still don't get equal pay. Every 2 minutes a woman is raped.

Maybe it's just that the people who care about things like that don't believe their votes matter anymore. So they stopped voting. And now the hard right is rising. Because you KNOW they all go out and vote, right?

I dunno. Just glad I live in Canada right now. Rent sucks here, but at least 10 year old children are not forced to have their rapist's baby.
