Liz Gilbert says the same thing in Big Magic, that not all artists/creatives are tragic and there’s lots of happy fluffy creatives out there.

When I first read that, I went on the same hunt you’re on.

Eric Maisel has another book called “Why Smart People Hurt.” The book kind of starts with the statement that people with a high IQ tend to struggle more with depression and tragic thinking and particularly so if they are high IQ creatives.

I found it interesting, mostly because every high iq creative I know struggles with that same thing.
