Kids are already uneducated. They come out of the school system and can’t spell, can’t read, grammar baffles their minds, can’t balance a check book, don’t know how compound interest works, can’t make change without a calculator and have learned nothing to help them navigate the world as an adult.

One day more or less of school won’t change that. They need to overhaul the entire education system. But why would they? Rich people can afford private schools and no one cares about the poor kids. Because, as you point out, we live in the age of the sociopath and the people who could make those changes can afford better options for their kids.

Except for one thing. People who VOTE get to decide who sits in the seats of power. And there’s a lot more of “us” than of “them” but we’d need to get our collective sh*t together and that’s a tall order.

Societies collapse. Rome died. Our society can die, too. Ask not for whom the bell tolls.
